In 2005, I took a road trip with my buddies Charles Moore and Rob Lucas. We retraced the steps of Holden Caulfield in the Catcher in the Rye and then traveled to remote New Hampshire to speak with reclusive author J.D. Salinger. We turned the journey into an hour-long documentary. Here’s the first part.
James I watched this movie on DVD probably close to when you made it. I only just now learned that this was you. I enjoyed it because it happens in my neck of the woods and is a buddy/road trip story close to something I’d have done with my own friends at the time. I wonder if you had heard about Maura Murray or were I to any true crime besides A.M. at the time. I had not heard of Maura until year and years later.
We went up there in 2005, so about a year after. I don’t remember hearing about it until around 2009.
